Tonight was an interesting night. It started out fairly normally, but it definitely got more interesting as the night progressed. Jon, Eric, Eric and I went to La Fiesta for dinner. I had some cheese and onion enchiladas. They should have been called cheese-smothered-cheese-wrapped-cheese-thingies with some onions thrown in there somewhere. They were good, though. I always end up eating my weight in chips there, so I'm hardly ever able to finish my meal. I had more than a whole enchilada left over when I was done tonight. Then we came back here, and I bummed around for a while. Then Lin and I went and rented American Beauty. We were about an hour into it when the electricity went out. We went to check out what was up in the office, but they had no idea. While there, I met up with an old acquaintance, Fareed, whom I met through Colleen, whom I met through Chrissy. Anyway, he's very outgoing, so we hung out for a while outside on the picnic table, then he, Lin and I went to Wal-Mart for really no reason at all, but we each had something that we needed to get. We ended up spending more than we expected--we think it was all a conspiracy from Wal-Mart (or, as my relatives call it, Wally-World) to make the electricity go out at night so they could get a lot of money out of us. Anyway, we wasted a lot of time there, but the electricity was still out when we got back. Eric had to get up early in the morning to go to Orlando, so he headed off to bed. I put up my stuff in my room, and then I decided to go see if anyone was in Craig's room, but on the way I ran into Fareed again and a WHOLE bunch of people from House 3. They had been drinking a little, so they were happy. :) Fareed introduced me to everyone, and we basically just chatted and goofed around. We even had a gymnastics show, where Ivo (RA from H3) did a hand stand while I did cartwheels in front of him. Anyway, we had a good time. Then the electricity came back on, and we all went back to our rooms. I probably met more people tonight than I have on any evening in a few months. It was quite fun.... nothing like a power outage to bring people together... :)

Yesterday I met up with Corey at the beach. Friends of his family own a condo on Crescent Beach and they invited us to come whenever we wanted, so we go a few times a summer. It's really nice to be able to use the pool and the shower to get all of that nasty sand and salt off of you. It really makes the beach experience much more pleasurable. I was rather disappointed by the waves, however. They were barely 2 feet high, so we couldn't boogie board. So we swam out and then just treaded water for a while. The water was still rather chilly (it is only May, after all) so I got cold quickly. Then we just decied to swim in thr pool and lay out by the pool for a while. We were only outside for maybe an hour and a half, and my chest is completely burned. I should be peeling quite nicely come Tuesday or Wednesday. I need to get a tan; I'm as white as a redneck's butt. I plan on going to the beach at least twice a month this summer, especially since I have Fridays off. The summer is looking really cool so far.....

Netscape is a terrible browser. It should be removed from space-time completely. I just spent about 4 hours 'fixing' (notice the quotes) my webpage so as to take into account Netscapes non-sensical html interpretation. I had to add another column and make more graphics so that this page looked like in netscape like it does in IE. The same effect can be achieved with 2 columns and fewer graphics in IE. And even after all of that, it still isn't completely the way it's supposed to be, because of the way Netscape reads tables. If you use netscape over IE, you need to ask God for a new brain.

I just was rereading my past updates, and saw the 'smoking update.' Just to let you know, my great aunt died Wednesday morning. I never knew her that well, so I'm not too upset. But no matter how close one is to someone who dies, deaths tend to put life in general into perspective--you know, things you could be doing to make your life, or someone else's life, better. So lately I've been assessing my lifestyle and making a mental list of things I should be doing (or not doing, in some cases). These are personal, so I won't be sharing them. Sorry! :) I have to say this again because there's one less person in the world to tell you, Do Not Smoke!!! The side-effects are NOT pretty.

If you're wondering why I haven't updated a lot recently it's because I'm trying to overhaul my site.... I'm trying this new table format with graphics.... and I can't get the graphics on all 6 edges to line up properly.... It's taking up all of my 'web-page time' (I only have enough patience to work on my web page for shorts amount of time). Once I get it all figured out, I'll go back to regularly updated log entries.

By popular demand, I have decided to add a little tid bit to keep everyone's attention.
Major pet peeve of mine:
When people pray in Old English. That happened at church tonight. What's up with that? Just because a translation of the bible is written in Old English, doesn't mean that God speaks it, nor does it mean that He will better understand you if you pray to Him in Old English. Come on, seriously, just speak normally.
