New poll and a new feature: a fortune cookie. I created a database of about 100 fortunes that I found in numerous places. A few are humorous, made-up ones, but the vast majority of them (~95%) are from actual fortune cookies. I'm actually pretty motivated, as far as this site is concerned, so I think I'll be tweaking my scripts, etc. Probably nothing too noticeable on your end, but stuff that will make duties on my end much easier. That's all for now. More on classes later.

Well, I'm back from my cruise. I had a really good time. There were times when I was bored, but you're bound to run out of things to do in a floating hotel. We left Sunday morning, and we got to Cape Canaveral around 3:00. By the time we got to our room (if you think Dorms are small, you should see these suckers--probably 8 feet by 15 feet), it was 4:00 and we were off by 5:00. Pretty innocuous evening. Dinner was good, with excellent service.

Monday we arrived in Nassau, which was really cool. Turquoise clear water, and mild temperatures (because of the sea breeze). Corey and I went snorkelling with Sting Rays--very very cool. They have a velvety/slimy texture, and are quite docile. I even fed a couple. I don't know what it was I was giving them, and I really didn't want to know; it was slimy and fishy. Anyway, you put your hand in front of their 'nose', and they can smell it, and you can coax them up off of the ocean floor so you can more or less hold them in your arms while you give them the food. They suck it up, and it's kind of like a vacuum cleaner. Very cool experience. There were also some cool fish around at that place.

Anyway, the next day we arrived in Coco Cay, which is an island owned by Royal Caribbean that they use solely for cruises. It's more or less a beach with some stuff to do. Corey and I again went snorkelling. There were considerably more fish at this place. We're talking fish from head to toe, weaving in and out of your arms and brushing up against you from all directions. They were mostly Yellow-striped-fish (I forget what they were called), clown fish, with a sprinkling of rainbow fish and barracudas. We also saw a few more Sting Rays, but they weren't as many here, and they were a little bit more scared.

Yesterday we were at sea all day. We just hanged out by the pools (they're salt water, btw) and went to the sauna. I lasted longer than Corey did; he couldn't take the heat. Literally. :) We had to run from the sauna to the shower every few minutes.

Food Food Food. And more food. There were hardly times when food of some sort wasn't being served. Desserts were awesome, and you could order room service at any hour of the day for free, except for the tip. And you could order it in any quantity. Last night we weren't hungry at the main dinner time, so we ordered 4 prime ribs, 3 salads, 4 desserts, and more stuff I don't remember. It got to our room not more than 45 minutes later, and each thing was in it's own container, which wasn't very efficient, but cool, nonetheless. Anyway, today we came home. No biggie.

I'm ready to go back to school, now. I've been in close quarters with my parents, and I fear that a couple more days and I'll be ready to burst at the seams from frustration.

Ok, that's enough for now. I figured I owed everyone a new update; it had been a while.

Thought of the moment:

Isn't every Final Fantasy game made after the original an oxymoron?

It's been a while, and even Rehmeyer has humbled himself to write an update, so I figured I'd update as well.

I've been pretty busy lately, mostly with class. We have our final presentation for our project on Monday. We present to the class on Monday, and then to the PPD Tuesday morning. We then have our final on Thursday, and a we have a lab or two thrown in there somewhere. Oh, we also have to have a written report of our project to turn on by the end of the week. Tons of work.

Last weekend I went home, mostly so I could get some sleep. I don't sleep as well here, especially last week. First of all, Joel and Jon don't have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so they stay up late Mondays and Wednesdays. Also, the game of the week last week was Diablo, for Joel, anyway. So sometime between 5 and 6:30 I'd here people laughing, minions dieing, or doors shutting, and it would wake me up. So needless to say, I got very little sleep last week. So I decided to go home to get sleep, among other things. Corey and I went to the beach on Friday. We needed to get some sun, because we're going on a cruise next week, and we didn't want to be totally pale. The weather was simply beautiful; the waves, however, sucked. So there was no boogie boarding or body surfing to be done. So we just hanged out by the pool, and got some sun, which was the main purpose of the trip to the beach anyway.

This week, as I said, has been very busy, and therefore has flown by. This whole summer has simply flown by. It's hard to believe I'll be entering my Senior Year in a couple weeks.

Soon I plan on adding a Pet Peaves section, where I'll be posting my pet peaves, so as to give a little more insight into my persona. One of the first entries will be what I experienced this morning (not the first time). I wake up, and go straight to the shower, as usual. I'm usually not very aware of things until I take my shower, so I have no idea what's going on around me, usually. Anyway, I step into the tub, and my brain is jolted by sensory overload--I just stepped into freezing cold (not really, but when you've been up for all of 2 minutes, any differential is amplified 10 fold) 'Eric-Water.' Apparently, Eric sheds worse than a German Shepard in the Sahara. Anyway, the drain was clogged completely with Eric hair, and there was a good inch of standing water from when Eric had taken a shower, a good two hours earlier. Just clean the drain after you're done, it's not that difficult. I know he doesn't do this on purpose, but it's still a pet peave. It shall be interesting to see who wins out next semester, cause Joel sheds too, though not as much as Eric. I had to free the drain of Joel Hair quite a few times last year, as well. Compounded with the laziness of my roommates to do anything domesticly related, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up just taking baths in old bath water that has been sitting for weeks. :)

Anyway, I'm off to bed. I need my sleep... I think I might be going to the Itchetucknee this Saturday, and meeting Corey and some friends from OP there. We shall see.
