I'm sure that it was a joke. Surely no one can be that stupid. Anyway, that's a bit of humor for the day.

Just to clarify, I like my roommates, and when I say 'whores,' realize that it's an affectionate term.

Anyway, if you haven't noticed, I'm now zimmerman.f2s.com. jayzee.f2s.com was on a crappy f2s server, so I signed up for a new account, and this one works much much better.
School sucks. There. I've said it.

My roommates are such whores. Here is my reasoning:

1) The kitchen light has been out for about a week now, I refuse to put in a maintenance request. Why you ask? Well, because I have replaced the light bulbs in it with my own bulbs the last two times (because they're brighter than the crappy ones that they give you), and because I've put in ALL the other maintenance requests since I've moved to ARF, and I just refused to do it this time. So, Rehmeyer said the other night that he would put one in..... surprise, he hasn't done so yet.

2) I'm doing my dishes like 5 minutes ago, and I find one of my good knives at the bottom of the sink. Surprise, it's rusted. I've asked them to not put them in the sink after they're done using them, but, instead, clean it and put it back in the knife block, because if they don't, the knives will rust. But do they listen? No.

Those are the two reasons I have right now. There are others, most of which are domestically related. But cmon, how hard is it to freakin' put in a work order? or to clean a knife when you're done with it and put it back in the block?

I've been caught up in the middle of a .... how should I say this ..... a 'situation.' Most of you know which situation I'm talking about. Well, in more ways than one, I was involved, and frankly, I'm glad I was. Things were brought to a head that needed to be addressed. Things may not be good for everyone involved now, but believe me, things are definitely better for the long run.

Why is it that people hate to deal with bad things, and would rather put them off to a later date? I admit, I'm a procrastinator, but only when it comes to things like work. I guess it's a sort of denial. Darn those defense mechanisms. Anyway, as soon as you realize that you have a problem on your hands, you need to decide immediately what you are going to do about it. That applies to pretty much every problem, not just problems in relationships. It's been said that when you're married, you should never go to bed angry... that's great advise for anyone in any type of relationship. If you're angry at someone, have a problem with someone, or have an 'issue', you should never keep putting it off. Chances are that by doing so, you only make things worse, and you will often result in a bad situation, such as the aforementioned one, which was a doozy of a 'situation.'

Enough ramblings.... time to go to bed.... 1st period tomorrow... four hour lab.... blech.

I've posted some of my pictures from my cruise. I haven't done anything else except post them, so they're just in a directory format.

Well, classes have started, with only one hitch. When I registered for classes last spring, my lab was 'TBA', so I could register for it, but it hadn't been assigned a day or time. Well, when the 'system' (apparently there are no mistakes made by actual people anymore--they're either computer problems, or problems inherent in 'the system') caught up with the rest of the world, it was assigned smack dab over one of my discussion sections, which I didn't notice until the first Monday of classes. (Discussion sections are minor details in the morass of other, more 'real' meeting times) Anyway, I loved my schedule. MWF I have class from 10:40 to 1:45, and that's it. It's sooo nice. On T-R, I had tennis at 1:20 - 2:30. The lab was supposed to be Tuesdays from 7:25 to 11:30. "Hmmm....," I thought to myself as I realized that the next day I'm supposed to have discussion for Thermodynamics 2 at 10:40. Now, they did plan for such occurances, so there were 3 discussion sections scheduled on Tuesdays. One second period, one fourth, and one sixth. Well, lab takes care of the first two, and tennis the third. So, I'm in what is called a 'scheduling conflict.' Anyway, long story short (too late), I was able to switch to Thursday lab, which ruins my nice schedule, which only required me to get up early on Tuesdays, and allowed me to sleep really late on Thursdays. Now I have a 4th period everyday except Thursday, which requires me to get up at the literal crack of dawn (the sun wasn't up when I went to class Thursday--that's just not right. No one should be up that early). What can ya do?

A friend of mine from OP, Sarah, (yes, Dave, yet another person from OP) just transferred from FSU, so I've been showin her around UF. We've eaten lunch together a few times, so that's been fun. It's nice to get some different faces around. Anyway, we're supposed to play some tennis sometime this week. I need the practice, that's for sure.

FOOTBALL! FOOTBALL!! FOOTBALL!! Josh likes football. Josh likes 85,000 people tailgating and having a good time at his front door. Josh likes yelling and screaming at football games. Josh Likes Football.

Another think I like is Dolby Digital Surround Sound. That's right folks, Apartment 101 has now digitized our home entertainment system (with the help of Craig's DVD player). This past week we've watched a TON of DVDs. I can't name them all. It's been an orgy of digital surround sound and crisp, digital pictures (well, they're better than VHS, anyway). Oh, and you'd be surprised how many commercials and TV shows have surround sound. You miss a lot. Well, you don't really miss it, but you don't get the full extent of the TV watching experience. It's kind of like looking at art thru the eyes of a dog--in black and white; you don't get the full meaning that the artist was trying to convey. That is, if you can compare the A/V guy at the recording studio an artist. Anyway....

I think that's enough for now. I really need to update more often, and live up to my promises of adding sections. Maybe I'll get a round tuit.
