Job Fair

Hey Everyone. I know no one reads this anymore because I don't ever update it (who knew that I'd have an actual life one day?), but for those who are looking for a job, the PTO is hiring and is having a Job Fair here in DC.

Sure, you could apply online, and hope someone calls you back, but the best way to get a job here is to show up and get valuable face time. Just ask Jae and Yin. I put both of their resumes in the pipeline, and bugged supervisors, but because I don't know everyone at the PTO, they didn't get jobs until they showed up and the interviewers here saw them in person. I do happen to know one of the hiring supervisors for my tech center, but that's just a small portion of the PTO. So, if any of my engineering buddies want a high-paying job, with tons of flexibility and benefits, which is located in DC (I LOVE it here), register for the fair, and be sure to give me a copy of your resume.

On a side note: GO GATORS!

Patent Application o' th' Day

Some people are screwy. I recommend reading paragraphs 3, 6 and 7. But they all are good for a laugh.

Patent Wiki!

Check it out: the PTO has a pilot program for a Patent Wiki. I, personally, think it's a great idea. Since what we do at the patent offic is supposedly a service to the public, getting the public involved in the process will only better serve them. Besides, academic journals have been doing peer review forever. It only makes sense.

And yess, I'll still have a job.
